Away We Go

So, I saw "Away We Go" tonight, and it was really good. It made me remember why I love filmmaking. Lately, there have been all these movies coming out, and they've been good, but they didn't make me feel, at least not in the same way that this one did. It's hard to explain, and it's a rare feeling, but when it happens, it reminds me why I love filmmaking... why I want to do it, it makes me want to give my all to make it and never give up. That's sort of where I am right now in my life. I don't want to give up... and I wont. It made me remember that there are people in this world that love you, no matter what, whether they're you're mom or dad, brother or sister, best friend, boyfriend or girlfriend... there are good people in this world... people who care about you, who stand behind you. You know, I may not be lucky in the sense of winning money, or having the luxury of not working, but I am so very lucky. I have the most amazing family who care so much about me, who worry about me constantly, I have best friends who care about my well being, who worry about me who are always there for me, and I have some of the most amazing co-workers ever (they know who they are), these people who stand behind me, who always have my back, who protect me from the worst people you could ever meet. It doesn't matter how much you have, it doesn't matter where you work... where you live, anything. ALL that matters if having someone that loves you... and I'm so lucky because I don't have just one person that loves me... Life will take you on these crazy journeys... you'll live in more than one place, you'll meet more than one genuinely good person, you'll fall in and out of love, you will be hurt by people you thought you could trust and find trust in those you thought you couldn't and the only thing in this world that can keep us going and make us stronger is love. No, not just romantic love, but love in general. Friends, Family, root beer floats, a sunset, a baby's laugh, playing on a play ground, white castle, inside jokes, hugs, kisses, smiles, laughter, and getting the most amazing greeting from your dogs when you get home... I have soooooo many people that love me and for that I am the luckiest person in the world.
